About SCF
Inspired by the government commitment to resettle Syrian refugees in Canada, the Syrian Canadian Foundation (SCF) was founded in January 2016 and aims to empower newcomers and people of diverse backgrounds while promoting cross-cultural exchanges within Canadian society. We engage with partners and volunteers to build welcoming communities and culturally customized services for Syrian newcomers and other diverse communities.
Job Description
The Project Coordinator will recruit participants, and support planning, implementation, and evaluating projects. This position requires an individual who is capable of balancing multiple priorities, working independently as well as within a team.

Job Duties
- Coordinate project activities, logistics
- Community outreach and recruit participants for SCF programs
- Create and deliver reports which will document the success of projects and activities
- Create database for SCF clients
- Perform other job duties as required
Requirements
- College/University student or graduate
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning skills
- Ability to take initiative, be creative and follow instructions when needed
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
Language:
- Good written and verbal English skills are required
- Arabic is an asset
Work Conditions
Work may require flexibility in hours
Eligibility:
- Must be a youth (under 30 years-old)
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (international students are not eligible)
